Add printing devices to your Hub to allow the creation of security badges

BuildingHub allows users to connect to printers, allowing security teams to print out badges for guests. The printer option is in the Global Settings part of the system administration menu.

  • The Printer view will show all devices in your building’s system.

  • To add a new printer, click Create New in the upper right corner.

  • You’ll be given options to fill in, including:

    • Title - can be terminology used to distinguish printers, such as “Printer 1” or “Main Lobby Printer”

    • Model - BuildingHub currently supports Brother QL 810W and QL 820NWB model printers. Select from the dropdown.

    • IP Address - The public-facing IP address of your printer

    • Paper Type - The size of the badges you are printing

  • Click Add Item when finished, and the new device will show up in your list
