File Manager

Learn to use our new feature that allows users to store documents, photos, and videos.

Updated over 6 months ago

BuildingHub allows for the storage of photos, videos, and documents of varying file types, including JPG, PNG, CSV, PDF, and MP4. If you have, for instance, liability forms for tenants or building maps you would like to have stored within BuildingHub, you can upload them here.

Access to the file manager is a portfolio-level permission that you can grant or revoke to certain role types. Please contact BuildingHub support to make specific adjustments on who can and cannot access the file manager.

  • If you have access to the repository, you can find it in the main Hub menu. Its location will vary, as it is customizable in the menu manager. Once you find it, you will find a few options.

  • The main functions available in the files menu are the ability to create new folders and to upload and access files, the same as you would any other web-based file manager.

  • If you create a new folder, you will first be prompted to give it a name.

  • When uploading files, you will see a dialogue similar to other places within BuildingHub where you are asked to select a file from your computer, and then verify it once uploaded.

  • Once uploaded, you may keep the file in the root directory, or drag it into a folder.
